Featuring KeyNote Speakers Emilia and Jody Ramey.
8:00 am to 3:30 pm
The morning will be spent with Emilia and Jody Ramey, a married couple on the autism spectrum. They are published authors and will compare and contrast the challenging concepts of social connection. Though they have no magic formulas, they will relate personal insights on successfully living day to day in a commited long term relationship.
The afternoon will explore the perceptions of adults on the autism spectrum who face daily such challenges as managing the expectations of college participation, the necessity of needing accommodations to successfully live day to day, and the routine need for visual schedules and lists to initiate tasks and manage tasks of daily life.
Diana Stadden, Arc of Washington Policy and Advocacy Coordinator and mother of a teen with High Functioning Autism will close the conference by sharing current challenges facing individuals as they try to be self supporting, working and living in appropriate living communities.
*Continental Breakfast and Box Lunch is included in registration fee.
*Clock Hours for public school professionals will be available.
